Moldova Gymnasium Renovation

The RRF has successfully completed the renovation of the prison gymnasium at Moldova's Rezina Penitentiary 17, transforming outdated facilities into a modern space that enhances conditions and mental health for individuals within the facility.

We are now measuring the health, mental health, and wellbeing outcomes of prisoners using the new gymnasium facility, documenting the positive impact of improved physical activity opportunities on rehabilitation and social reintegration.

  • Completed renovation of gymnasium facilities
  • Safe and effective exercise equipment installed
  • Prisoner involvement in renovation process
  • Ongoing outcome measurement and evaluation

Bunk Bed Construction Project

In Indonesia, we've implemented a skills training program where people in prison learn carpentry by building bunk beds for orphanages and community centers.

This dual-impact initiative provides valuable vocational training while also meeting a critical need in the wider community.

  • Hands-on carpentry and woodworking skills
  • Project management and teamwork development
  • Community connection and purpose
  • Transferable skills for employment after release

Digital Life Skills App

In Australia, the Raphael Rowe Foundation in collaboration with CON|X is creating a post-release app to support young people leaving the Youth Justice system with education skills forming employment pathways.

The non-formal trauma informed education content provides users incentives to learn and engage, supporting recidivism reduction at a crucial period as they reintegrate into society.

  • Education skills for employment pathways
  • Trauma-informed educational content
  • Incentive-based learning engagement
